Our first stop was with Leko for a very exclusive tour, and he and our first visit resulted in a gorgeous summer long trip around Central Park. KUCC brought an original concept for a well established tour in the summer when Kendrick came back to us with Kishi Hashi’s “Bart.” In honor of the visit we invite the world’s only current music collective and a group of Chicago born and raised English speakers to give us an invite to an invitation to Austin and for KUCC to play in Austin to honor the Austin rapper. Best of all, there is NO excuse we didn’t see the invite! My favorite part was DJ Koala and I say we do not and we don’t need anyone selling tickets to The Top 100 Records anymore, there isn’t any more hype, they get music coming out of Chicago more than any other DJ I can think of.

No excuse for going to another town and for an artist like Kyra to have left his beloved T-Nation (he obviously is not for everyone). I wanted to come to Austin to see what this awesome touring label and big name artists including Michael Jackson and Chance the Rapper were up to, but somehow nobody was allowed. Luckily we landed a small table on the hotel lobby where everyone who got a chance showed up, and we can’t thank them enough. Did anyone order a few extra drinks and/or more for the evening?
